The new, upgraded Lexus RX model range made its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The new RX exterior features a new, more elegant and aggressive frontal design. An enhanced interior offers an expanded choice of colour schemes, new trim finishes, a new steering wheel, a revised instrument binnacle and a second generation Remote Touch Interface (RTI).
The RX350 is using a new 3.5 V6 engine that delivers 274 hp. Coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds and reaches a speed of 180 km / h, electronically limited.
For version RX 450h, the role of driving the vehicle is divided between a 3.5 V6 Atkinson cycle and two electric motors. With them, the combined output is 299 horsepower and performance numbers are impressive for a hybrid car: acceleration 0-100 km / h is accomplished in 7.8 seconds and top speed is 200 km / h.
