2012 Hyundai i40 Tourer Active Diesel Automatic

2012 Hyundai i40 Tourer Active Diesel Automatic - Is it really necessary to buy a small SUV the instant you start having children?

In the not-so-distant past, wagons were the car-of-choice for growing families, but fashion trends and the advantages of a taller ride height have seen SUVs killing wagon sales.

Enter the i40 Tourer. It may be a midsizer, but it's got interior space that's more than capable of swallowing a young family, plus all their stuff. Not only that, it drives better than most SUVs and looks gorgeous to boot.

In base Active trim, it's far from perfect though. In our opinion it's worth springing a little extra for the upscale Elite or Premium models.

Harga 2012 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

Posted by Edo Suseno Selasa, 03 April 2012 0 komentar

Harga 2012 Hyundai Azera, Reviews Specs and Prices

Posted by Edo Suseno Kamis, 22 Maret 2012 0 komentar
Harga 2012 Hyundai Azera, Reviews Specs and Prices - Hyundai Azera is all-new for 2012, the second generation of Hyundai's flagship luxury sedan. Larger and more luxurious than a midsize, Azera compares well with the Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, Buick LaCrosse, and Ford Taurus, all large, front-wheel-drive sedans typically loaded with leather and all the bells and whistles, and it aspires to compete with the Lexus ES and Acura TL.

2012 Hyundai Azera

Review Hyundai Azera 2012
Our test drive of this new car revealed the 2012 Azera is comfortable for long distance cruising and economical for urban transport. Azera is smooth and quiet, it gets excellent fuel economy, and its cabin is nicely furnished with quality materials and controls that are easy to operate.

There's only one trim level, one powertrain, one price and one option, so picking the Azera you want is very easy. Priced at a highly competitive $32,000, this four-door, five-passenger sedan is powered by a remarkably efficient, 3.3-liter, 293-horsepower V6 driving the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic transaxle outfitted with the Shiftronic manual shift feature. The hardest decision will be choosing the color.

The new Azera comes standard with features often optional in this class. Heading the list is a full-featured navigation system with rearview camera and automatic, dual-zone climate control. Leather is standard as are HD Radio and XM Satellite Radio, a 10-way power driver's seat and 8-way power front passenger seat. The seats are heated, front and rear. Options include ventilating fans for the front seats, a 550-watt premium sound system, a two-pane panoramic sunroof, and a power rear sunshade complemented by manual sunshades on the rear side door windows.

EPA-estimated fuel economy is 20/29 mpg City/Highway, numbers that top the competition save for the Avalon's matching EPA City estimate. Azera also gets Hyundai's new Active ECO system that reins in throttle response and alters the transmission's shift points to eke out more miles per gallon. Hyundai's engineers say this system in the right conditions can deliver an improvement of around 7 percent.

The 2012 Azera's styling presents a less flamboyant iteration of the Fluidic Sculpture motif that debuted on the 2010 Sonata. Where the Sonata's arrays of flowing curved lines flowed strongly and consistently from grille to trunk, the Azera presents, shall we say, an interesting blend of subdued echoes of the marque's motif, with a stately front view, a sporty side view and a classy rear view. The lineage is indisputable, but the Azera's visions are unique. Not all car makers can carry this off, but Hyundai manages to do so with panache.

Interior treatment, materials and finishing are top end. It's everything that's needed, with nothing that isn't, and all where it should be. Controls are well marked and easy to operate. Instruments communicate needed information as does the 7-inch, touchscreen navigation system-cum-backup camera display. The interior is roomy, too, and ahead of the competitors in a number of measurements, not the least being all-important front seat head room and leg room.

Ride and handling are well mannered. It's not sporty, but that's not an aspiration of the new Azera. What is, is comfortable long distance cruising and economical urban transport. Automatically adjusting shock absorbers level high-mileage interstates and urban streets. Capping it off, the Azera adds to Hyundai's recent string of strikingly quiet cars, attributable in part to well placed sound deadening but also to sophisticated vibration isolating and motion counterbalancing underhood structures.

There was a time when Hyundai struggled to earn shoppers' consideration. The 2012 Azera confirms that time is long past.

Model Lineup
The 2012 Hyundai Azera ($32,000) is powered by a 293-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 driving the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic equipped with Sportronic manual shift mode. Standard features include automatic, dual-zone climate control; touch screen navigation system; power driver and front passenger seat; heated front and rear seats and outside mirrors; leather trimming on all seats and on the steering wheel and shift knob; keyless proximity lock and unlock and push button engine start and stop; 450-watt, multi-media audio system with HD Radio, XM satellite radio with a 3-month trial subscription and iPod/USB and auxiliary inputs; and Bluetooth capability.

The single option is the Technology Package ($4000), adding such niceties as a power tilt-and-slide, two-pane, panoramic sunroof; power adjustable, tilt-and-telescope steering column; two-setting memory for driver's seat, outside mirrors and steering column; fan-ventilated front seats; Infinity premium speaker system with subwoofer and 550-watt external amplifier; power rear sunshade and manual rear side window shades; and parking assistance sensors.

Safety features comprise front, side and curtain airbags, plus a driver's knee airbag for a total of nine airbags; rear-impact reducing front seats; electronic stability control with traction control; antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist; tire pressure monitoring system; and a rearview camera.

2012 Hyundai Veracruz Review

Posted by Edo Suseno Sabtu, 05 November 2011 1 komentar
2012 Hyundai Veracruz Review - The Veracruz soldiers on as Hyundai's midsize crossover SUV, initially meant to target the likes of the Lexus RX and, in true Hyundai form, offer more content than competitively priced vehicles. Behind its modest styling, the Veracruz has an unassuming nature, doing whatever is asked of it without flaunting itself. The midsize crossover SUV is powered by a 3.8-liter, 260 horsepower V-6 engine, adequate for most uses. With three rows of seats, the Veracruz offers seven-passenger seating, though cargo room is limited when the third row is in use. If folded, cargo space is more than adequate. With an emphasis on sound damping materials, the cabin is whisper-quiet. Premium materials inside give a refined feel common to entry-level SUVs. Hyundai's priciest SUV is available in two trims, GLS, with many features standard, and Limited, the top of the line. All-wheel drive is available on both trims. While the 2012 Hyundai Veracruz doesn't do anything exceptionally well, it does everything suitably, and offers superb value.

The Range

Bodystyle: Crossover SUV
Engine: 3.8-liter V-6

The limited trim level gets a heated second-row seats standard and an optional Alpine navigation system with satellite and HD radio options, Pandora for iPhone, rearview camera, Bluetooth, and a seven-inch touch-screen display.

Exterior

The 2012 Veracruz remains a conservative, modestly styled midsize crossover SUV. Absent are the more pronounced, sporty lines of the automaker's other crossovers, the Santa Fe and the Tucson, though it does share the same two-tone frame. The Tucson gets 17-inch alloy wheels standard, with 18-inch wheels as an option. Other options include a moonroof and power liftgate. Chrome window accents and a new chrome grille round out the styling.

Interior

Inside the cabin is finished with high-quality interior materials, and the layout is streamlined and attractive. The seven-passenger seating is three-row, with bucket seats in front, a three-passenger bench in the second row, and a two-seater that can fold completely flat into the floor. The GLS model has cloth seats while the Limited is finished in leather.

Performance & Handling

The Veracruz is a smooth sailer that will get you about in a plush, pleasant manner, but don't expect an inspired ride. The 3.8-liter, 260-hp V-6 delivers enough power, and handles and corners just well enough to keep critics and enthusiasts mum. The transmission favors higher gears and doesn't always downshift when others might, but it has the power to push forward even in higher gears. While the impression of the Veracruz's ride won't linger with you, the midsize crossover does everything adequately.

Safety

Dual front airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, and roof-mounted three-row side curtain airbags are standard on the Veracruz. So are stability control, traction control, and disc brakes with ABS with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution.

3RD PLACE: HYUNDAI SONATA SE 2.0T

3RD PLACE: HYUNDAI SONATA SE 2.0TUnfortunately for the Sonata, it was the only one that wasn't quicker than the aforementioned M5 and 500E. In fact, at 7.0 seconds to 60 and 15.4 at 91.5 mph to the quarter mile, the 2.0T barely edged the 200-horse Camry Hybrid. When comparing high-performance variants, being last is never a positive, especially when it's last by a lot. And the subpar performance wasn't just in straight-line stats; in all objective handling tests, the Sonata rose to the top in none. Hyundai eschewed a V-6 in favor of a turbo I-4, citing comparable power, less weight, and improved fuel economy. Acceleration was the slowest, and observed fuel economy nearly tied for last. And the 2.0T was indeed the lightest car of the three, but only by 35 pounds compared with the Camry.

In real-world duties, the 2.0-liter turbo felt plenty powerful and torquey. The ride, while not as compliant as the Passat's, was quiet and comfortable, if a bit too busy for our tastes. The four-wheel disc brakes offered up a firm pedal with ideal travel. And the interior was rated as attractive and high-quality, especially for a car with an as-tested price of only $25,505.
But you get what you pay for. In this case, a performance sedan high on promise but low on fulfillment.
