It’s the new Lexus GS, and not only is it incredibly comfortable, beautifully trimmed, and packed with technology, it’s also a very, very good drive.


Lexus expects big things from the new GS range. It hopes to move market share in the premium category from an underperforming 2.4 percent, to 10 percent.

To help accomplish this, Lexus has introduced a smaller-engined entry to the GS family. The range now starts with the $77,900 GS 250 Luxury - it sits at nearly $20,000 less than the entry point to the previous (2011) GS range, the GS 300 Sports.

That lines it up with the identically-priced Audi A6 2.0 TFSI and BMW 520i; however the GS 250 Luxury comes with a considerably more-extensive standard equipment list.

The value equation, feature for feature, is even more compelling with the more powerful GS 350 range. At $89,900, the GS 350 Luxury is pitted against the $115,600 BMW 335i and the $132,635 Mercedes-Benz E350.

Even the GS flagship, the amazingly gadget-laden GS 350 Sports Luxury, at $109,900 undercuts both of its German rivals while offering a more generous (and luxurious) specification.
But as we found out, the GS range isn’t just about its value-for-money offering: it’s also a properly enjoyable car to drive, particularly the athletic GS 350 F Sport.

Harga Lexus RX 2012, Reviews Specs and Prices - First launched as a 1999 model, the Lexus RX was most recently redesigned and re-engineered for 2010. Changes since have been minimal. Most significantly, the 2012 RX 350 has been tuned to run on regular unleaded (87 octane) fuel. Premium (91 octane) is recommended for the 2012 RX 450h.

The 2012 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h are easy to operate and ride more softly than other SUVs. They're also more fuel-efficient than many of their competitors.

Powered by a 3.5-liter V6 mated to a 6-speed automatic multi-mode transmission, the RX 350 beats the fuel economy ratings of the Acura MDX, Mercedes ML 350, and BMW X5 xDrive3.5i. The RX 450h hybrid gets better mileage yet, and achieves a Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV II) certification in California, and a Tier 2-Bin 3 emissions rating in all other states.

The 2012 RX 350 and RX 450h are offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The RX 350 uses a light-weight all-wheel-drive system that operates through an electronic coupling on the rear differential, eliminating the need for a center differential. The RX 450h uses an electric motor to drive the rear wheels so no mechanical connection between the axles is needed.

Harga Sedan Lexus GS 250  - Lexus Indonesia resmi meluncurkan tiga varian dari GS Series di Indonesia, yakni GS 250, GS 350 dan GS 450h. Ketiga Sedan premium tersebut dibanderol mulai Rp950 juta hingga Rp1,36 miliar.
Untuk varian Lexus GS 250 Rp950 juta, disusul Lexus GS 350 yang memiliki banderol Rp1,08 miliar dan Lexus GS 450h dengan harga mencapai Rp1,36 miliar.
"Dengan harga tersebut, pecinta Lexus di Indonesia sudah mendapatkan kenyamanan berkendara, karena GS Series telah dilengkapi dengan teknologi dan fitur yang canggih," terang Adrian Tirtadjaja, General Manager Lexus Indonesia, pada acara peluncuran, di Jakarta, Selasa (20/3/2012).

Selain itu, fitur ada dalam GS Series terbaru ini, yakni New D4-6 engine, Atkinson Cycle, 2 Motor Hybrid System serta Bamboo Steering Wheel pada GS 450h, ditambah layar ultra lebar 12,3 inci di GS 350 dan 450h.

Lebih lanjut, Hi dan Lo LED Headlamp pada GS 450h serta Lexus Premium Analog pada GS Series yang merupakan pertama diterapkan pada Lexus.

"Hingga saat ini, kami telah menerima SPK untuk varian GS Series sebanyak 30 unit dan semuanya akan kami kirim kepada konsumen di akhir Maret mendatang," tutup Adrian.

The crossover has undergone a slight redesign, getting a new front bumper, LED headlights and new front grille and new 19-inch wheels. Inside, the car gained new coatings with noble materials and different seams in the leather of the seats, center console and armrest.

The new, upgraded Lexus RX model range made its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The new RX exterior features a new, more elegant and aggressive frontal design. An enhanced interior offers an expanded choice of colour schemes, new trim finishes, a new steering wheel, a revised instrument binnacle and a second generation Remote Touch Interface (RTI).

The RX350 is using a new 3.5 V6 engine that delivers 274 hp. Coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds and reaches a speed of 180 km / h, electronically limited.

For version RX 450h, the role of driving the vehicle is divided between a 3.5 V6 Atkinson cycle and two electric motors. 2013 Lexus GS350 Review - The 2013 Lexus GS 350 is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) depending on your preference. The rear-wheel drive GS weighs 3,795 lbs and the all-wheel drive GS weighs 3,970lbs. Another difference between the two is their acceleration times. The RWD version can accelerate to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds while the AWD version accelerates to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds. As far as its fuel economy, the new GS 350 gets decent gas mileage and is estimated to get roughly 19/28 mpg city/highway

My favorite version of the new GS is the F-Sport model, which rivals the best European sedans for crisp handling and sheer grunt. The F-Sport rides on special 8 and 9 inch wide, 19” diameter rims bearing the largest tires yet seen on a Lexus: 265/35/19 Bridgestone RE 050A. Higher spring rates, more athletic shock absorbers, and bigger anti sway bars make the F-Sport GS a car you could take to track events and run with confidence. A console mounted control knob allows you to adjust ride, steering, traction control and throttle sensitivity for Normal, Sport or Sport+ (i.e. track) work. The seats in the F-Sport are superb, 16-way adjustable, with compressible side bolsters to resist lateral movement. During a day long test on the road course at Las Vegas Speedway, the F-Sport GS took everything we could dish out without breaking a sweat. On the Sport+ setting, the flashy sedan lived up to its prepossessing looks, cornering flat, stopping short, and screaming from apex to apex like nothing Lexus has ever built before.
